Today, the rain brought a challenge that lasted for three hours, creating a melancholic atmosphere. Despite the precipitation, my tires slid like butter in the rain, albeit with some antics from the GPS that I still need to get used to. Navigating in the rain turned out to be an art in itself, with the peculiar behavior of the screen and a less-than-optimal GPS signal due to low clouds.
After some back and forth, I finally reached the top of the hill “Monte Cecilia.” My next destination was the church of “Santa Giustina” for a well-deserved short break and some nourishment. During the descent, I passed by the imposing “Palazzo del Principe” and stumbled upon an enchanting wooden villa near the castle in Este.
Despite the rain, I braved Este Park, took a well-deserved break, admired the galleries, and continued my way along the canal towards Montagana. After 4 km outside Este, I found a suitable spot to set up my camp, although it felt a bit strange. Inside, I prepared my meal as the persistent rain left little room for outdoor activities. Finally, I rested at 7 p.m. after a day full of ups and downs.
On to tomorrow, hoping for a sunnier day.
With warm regards.
